Bio-Mechanical Advantage was established by pedorthic consultant B.A.(Babs) Aiyede in 1995  with one primary objective in mind:  to provide the most appropriate biomechanical solutions for people suffering from lower limb pain and dysfunction.

At the time the practice was formed, Babs felt that for many practitioners, biomechanically-based treatment of the lower extremity was becoming a single-option scenario.  This dark era is what he refers to as "The HUNO's Years" (i.e. "Hello.  You need orthotics.").  Through the development of, and dedication to, a more comprehensive approach to orthotic therapy, Bio-Mechanical Advantage has successfully provided effective, integrated solutions for problem feet and legs.

What began as a commitment to expand rather than limit biomechanical treatment options has evolved into a successful pedorthic practice.  Bio-Mechanical Advantage now has satellite locations in six respected physiotherapy and sports medicine clinics in the Toronto area, an in-house orthotics laboratory, and an ever-expanding referral network of health care professionals, footwear retailers, and other complementary services.
